'The home of ultimate tranquilly,' Prasanthi Nilayam implies. It is Sri Sathya Sai Baba's primary ashram, located near the village of Puttaparthi on the undulating hills to the east of the river Chitravathi. Take a virtual tour of the sights in and surrounding Prasanthi Nilayam by clicking on the links below.
Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust was established on September 2, 1972, by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Baba established and maintained the Trust. Baba selected five trustees in 2010 who were assigned authority for the organization's varied responsibilities. The Trust has been undertaking a number of welfare activities under Baba's guidance, including providing free education at school and university levels, delivering state-of-the-art medical care at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, as well as healthcare initiatives, completely free of charge, and providing pure drinking water in various regions of Andhra Pradesh and the metropolitan city. During natural catastrophes, the Trust, in collaboration with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations, has worked to offer immediate and long-term aid to those impacted (an independent body started by Sri Sathya Sai Baba for rendering organised service initiatives across various states in India). The Gujarat earthquake relief, the Tamilnadu tsunami relief, the Odisha housing project, and, most recently, the Kerala floods are just a few examples. The Trust is ecologically sensitive, and all of its institutions and ashrams are powered by a 6 MW solar power facility. The Trust's other operations include the preservation and spread of India's rich culture and legacy via the development of museums, conference centres, and community halls, among other things. As a result, the Trust has been Baba's instrument, putting His message of selfless love into reality and impacting the lives of millions. It has taken the lead in society's economic, moral, and spiritual rehabilitation, and it now stands as a model of service worthy of imitation.

Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Divine Love draws
people from all over the world to Prasanthi Nilayam, the sanctuary of perfect
tranquilly in the tiny town of Puttaparthi. What was once a tiny village has
grown into a globally recognised spiritual centre. The ashram Prasanthi Nilayam
(Abode of Supreme Peace) is located in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, India. It
is 150 kilometres (about 90 miles) north of Bangalore, 85 kilometres (about 45
miles) from Anantapur, 30 kilometres (about 45 miles) from Penukonda, 40
kilometres (about 40 miles) from Dharmavaram, and 450 kilometres (about 45 miles)
from Hyderabad.
Puttaparthi is well connected to all of India's
main cities in the south. The holy city has its own airport, train
station, and bus terminal. Getting to Puttaparthi from any other city in Andhra
Pradesh is simple, since the city is connected to the rest of the country by a
network of decent highways.
Bengaluru International Airport is the closest
airport to Prasanthi Nilayam. It's around 130 kilometres (80 miles) from
Prasanthi Nilayam. Many cities in India and other countries have flights to and
from Bengaluru airport. Prasanthi Nilayam may be reached by flying to Bangalore
(either directly or from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad etc). Then take a
cab or a bus to your destination. Between Bangalore and Puttaparthi, the
airport is roughly 30 kilometres north of Bangalore. A cab ride from Bangalore
airport to Prasanthi Nilayam takes 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. You
may make a reservation for a cab with your travel agency ahead of time.
However, a cab may be obtained at any time.
A cab ride from Bangalore to Prasanthi Nilayam
takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Contact one of the taxi
companies and travel agents with offices outside the ashram to organise a cab
from Prasanthi Nilayam to Bangalore. Many cities and towns are served by buses
operated by the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and the
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation.
Prasanthi Nilayam is easily
accessible by train, as the Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam railway station
links the town to major Indian cities such as Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam,
Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Mumbai, and New Delhi. This station is about 8 kilometres
from the ashram. It is connected to Puttaparthi by APSRTC buses on a regular
basis. Many trains travel through Prasanthi Nilayam on a daily basis (Station
Name: Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam; Station code: SSPN on the IRCTC
website ). Many additional trains run via Dharmavaram Railway Station (IRCTC
station code: DMM), which is roughly 40 kilometres from Prasanthi Nilayam. You
may also take the train from Dharmavaram to Prasan.
