Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram

Swami Vishnudevananda created the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres in 1957, and named it after his master, H.H. Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati Maharaj, one of the most prominent spiritual teachers of the twentieth century. The organisation promotes yoga and vedanta teachings while maintaining their purity and history, which dates back thousands of years. We are a spiritual growth and learning centre that has taught thousands of yoga instructors across the world since 1963. The goal is to promote traditional yoga teachings by combining the Four Paths of Yoga with Swami Vishnudevananda's Five Points of Yoga to attain bodily, mental, and spiritual well-being and Self-realization. The adage of Swami Sivananda, "one ounce of practice is worth mountains of theory," is carefully adhered to. Many of the instructors devote their lives to the study and practice of yoga, living as renunciants or swamis inside the Organisation. The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres, which have their headquarters in Val Morin, Canada, are represented in over twenty-six countries. In India, there are four Ashrams (headquarters), Madurai, Uttarkashi, and Gudur, as well as five Centres (Kailash Colony, New Delhi), Dwarka, Chennai, Madurai, and Trivandrum). Our Ashrams offer a spiritual haven where you can live, learn, and practice under the direction of our instructors. In the middle of the hustle and bustle of city life, our Centres offer a haven of serenity.
